Bio
A four-year contributor for Quinnipiac from 2018–22, she appeared in over 90 games with 35 starts, helping the Bobcats to multiple postseason appearances, including the NCAA Tournament (2019) and WNIT (2022). She averaged 7.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists as a senior, highlighted by a six-game stretch in which she averaged 14.5 points and 7.2 rebounds. Over her career, she developed into a consistent scorer and rebounder, recording numerous double-figure games and standout performances against top MAAC opponents.
A native of Cicero, N.Y., she starred at Cicero–North Syracuse High School, where she averaged 20.8 points as a senior, surpassed 1,000 career points, and earned Large School Player of the Year honors.
Amani Free is a dedicated and versatile basketball player with a strong collegiate career spanning five years across two programs. She spent four years competing at Quinnipiac University in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) before transferring to Alabama A&M University for her final season in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).
Over the course of her career, Amani appeared in a total of 126 games, showcasing her consistency and durability on the court. In her standout 2022-23 season at Alabama A&M, she started all 29 games and posted impressive averages of 12.1 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game, solidifying her role as a key contributor for the Bulldogs.
Amani’s blend of experience, work ethic, and on-court production makes her a valuable asset at the collegiate level, known for her leadership and steady performance.
