Rain or shine, the Bobcats remain victorious!

Hello again Bobcat nation!

It was another successful weekend for the Bobcats as the men traveled to Boston to play back to back road games on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, they visited Bunker Hill Community College and won by a score of 1-0 on a loan goal by Jon Stublla. This was a hard-fought victory after playing most of the second half down a man due to a red card. On Sunday, the Bobcats took their talents to Massasoit Community College. They could secure this victory by a wider margin, 6-1. Mark Parchment lead the team with 4 goals in a big road win before they headed home to Syracuse. Coach Nick said "You love to come away from road trips with a couple wins but these trips mean so much more to becoming a team off the field than on. We have been battling injuries all season but we never give up and I think that's what makes this team special."

Our women's team on Sunday hosted Essex Community College at the CNY family sports center. After some light rain in the beginning of the game the Bobcats found themselves down 1-0 at half time to the visiting wolverines. When the second half started the Bobcats clearly had more energy and scored 3 unanswered goals by Lyla Lionel, Amela Racic, and Alijah Titre. I caught up with Coach Alex who had this to say, "I thought for a little while there we got outplayed and it showed on the scoreboard, but I knew we were the better team and we have been down before. We can come back from almost anything but we have to get out to quicker starts especially with the national tournament coming up."

Both our men's and women's team will host BSC Albany on Wednesday and it's going to be a BLUE OUT! We are encouraging everyone to not only attend but to also wear Bobcat Blue!! The women's game starts at 2PM and the men's game will follow at 4PM. We hope to see you there!!

As always, GO BOBCATS!!
